"Yeager-Standard" basic antenna for Garmin Astro/Alpha

"Yeager-Standard" basic antenna, directional, for Garmin Astro/Alpha.
Stationary long-range antenna is designed for installation on a mastor tree height of 6 metres and above.
Allows you to determine the position of dogs (collars) and navigators (Alpha).
Relative range 500 / 600 / 700 %, which is 10 - 70 km. (depends on LANDSCAPE, mounting height, and collar power*).
*Collars retrofitted with LORRA technology can be seen up to 50% further.

For maximum range, the antenna should be mounted so that there are no obstacles (trees, mountains, tall buildings, etc.) in front of the antenna as far as possible. The reception range to the side is about 20% and to the rear ~ 10% in relation to the main direction. I.e. the radiation pattern is similar to a cardioid.

The antenna is available in three versions (the difference is in the range of reception):

Yeager Standard-500 < 35km - (x1) single antenna

Yeager Standard-600 < 45km - (x2) 2-storey antenna + adder

Yeager Standard-700 < 55km - (x4) 4-storey antenna + adder

Antennas x2 and x4 are installed above each other in one line and stacked with a special power adder (included in the set).

Vertical distance between the centres of the antennas (x2 and x4):
*distances must be equal!

• optimal - 1.3 metres ± 5 cm (maximum range)
• minimum - 1.1 metres ± 5 cm (range is reduced by 15%)

There are two diameters of the feeder-extender (trigger cable to the navigator):
- 7.5 mm (cable type 5D-FB) - recommended up to 20 metres.
- 11 mm (cable type 8D-FB) - recommended up to 50 metres.

The thicker cable has lower losses and provides a greater range of reception.
For connection to the navigator, a jumper of thin soft cable 1.5 metres long is included.

The antenna mount is designed for pipes with a diameter from 30 to 55 mm.

The antenna is passive and does not require a power supply.

The antenna must be mounted on a metal pipe, which, in turn, must be reliably earthed!
